Learn Tarot: Read Reversals

Beginning tarot readers are often discouraged from reading reversals to avoid feeling overwhelmed. In this hands-on class reading reversals will be broken down into easy to remember, easy to put into practice, methods of interpreting upside down cards. Some experience with tarot is preferable but not necessary. We will be using the Rider Waite/ Universal Tarot deck, but these principles will likely apply to your favorite deck, so consider bringing it along.

Sound Bath Meditation & Restorative Yoga
A “Sound Bath Meditation” is a very therapeutic form of meditation because you are literally “bathed” in sound waves. As these sound waves wash over your body, they can take you into the theta brainwave state, which leads to relaxation, healing, & deep meditation.
As Anthony offers this sound bath meditation, you will have the opportunity to increase the healing power of the bowls with a restorative yoga practice lead by Durgaya. As you find stillness in gentle yogic postures, you will create a direct pathway for the sound waves to enter and balance your body where it is most needed.
This type of practice is wonderful for beginners and experienced yogis. The bowls offer something for your mind to hold onto besides the endless chatter of your inner dialogue and the yoga practice will increase your ability to receive the healing energy of this unique and powerful experience.

Meditation, Movement and Discussion for Anxiety
Join Paulina Marckel, MS, LMHC on June 15th, 2017 (Thursday) for an evening of breathing exercises (pranayama), yogic sleep (Yoga Nidra), introspection, and discussion on ways to increase coping skills for anxiety relief in our everyday lives.
This hour and a half workshop will be focused on:
– discussion of how anxiety manifests itself in our day to day lives
– teaching pranayamas & gentle stretching exercises that help to ease stress and anxiety
– a 40 minute Yoga Nidra practice (A yogic state between sleeping and waking, where you will be laying comfortably utilizing blankets and bolsters; Yoga Nidra has been proven to bring relief to those suffering from PTSD, anxiety, and to those in recovery from substance use.)
– reflection by journaling, while light snacks will be provided, and an opportunity to share on your experience.
– essential oils will be used throughout the workshop to assist in relaxation.

More about Paulina:
Paulina earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at her recently opened private practice, River Blossom Wellness River Blossom Wellness, in Sebastian, FL. Paulina has worked in a variety of mental health settings (both inpatient & outpatient) with clients ranging in age from 5 to 75. Additionally, Paulina has earned a Registered 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Certification (from the first graduating class of Maha Soul at Sebastian Yoga. Paulina specializes in working with individuals, couples, & groups dealing with trauma/PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
A Night of Lakshmi
Join Durgaya Palmieri for a night of myths, practice, meditation and introspection, all in honor of Mother Lakshmi. Lakshmi is the goddess (or archetype) of love and abundance, of spiritual fulfillment and fertility. She shows us that love is within and gives us the gift of experiencing pleasure, joy and harmony in all things.
This two hour donation based practice will include the myth of Mother Lakshmi coming into being and how we can use this myth to enhance our own practice and our ability to connect with the feeling of joy in our lives. We will learn about the symbolism of her image, often seen in yoga studios and ancient Indian texts. Once we understand what the energy of Lakshmi represents, we will have an all levels practice to cultivate this essence in each of us as individuals and the space we share as a community. We will finish our practice with a heart based meditation and time for contemplation and discussion.
All the donations will go towards Durgaya’s trip to India!!!! Yay!
